The Buchan & Gelantipy Race Club has garnered a reputation over the past 118 years for fun and frivolity spiced up with quality regional racing.

Over the last two decades, the Canni Creek races has gone from a local sporting event to one of the most popular fixtures in the Picnic Racing Victoria calendar attracting support from racing enthusiasts from a wide area of East Gippsland. It is not unusual to see overseas visitors amongst our large crowds.

Families and punters turn up for the highly enjoyable picnic races, joining a local following that takes their racing seriously. The thrills of a day at the races are all there, as is the chance to sit back and soak up a relaxing picnic atmosphere.
